About The Lamp Workshop

The Lamp Workshop is a family-run business based in East Sussex, specialising in the restoration, repair, and design of lighting. We combine traditional craftsmanship with modern techniques to deliver high-quality work across the UK and beyond.

Our core team includes myself (Jack), Sam Rose, Gary, and Sam Hickman. I handle client liaison, quality control, and shipping. Sam Rose manages our electrical shop and wiring specs worldwide. Gary assembles fittings and applies metal finishes, while Sam Hickman creates our plaster chandeliers and pendants with an artistic touch.

We also work closely with trusted subcontractors. My brother Glen, who runs Made by Carricks, handles fabrication. Bruce supports us with CAD drawings, and our father, now retired, occasionally lends a hand with specialist lantern work.

From chandelier restorations in London to bespoke repairs in our East Sussex workshop, we’re proud to offer expert, reliable, and personal service.

Since the company’s inception in 2007, The Lamp Workshop has established its reputation as one of the premier British companies for the restoration and repair of antique and vintage lamps and chandeliers. We have built up a strong working relationship with many of the country’s most sought-after interior designers, many of whom have commissioned us to design and create bespoke one-off pieces for specific projects.
